Freedom Principle – Ma

Led by the incredible saxophonist Tom Challenger, Ma are one of the most exciting and innovative bands around at the moment. We’ve been trying to get them to Sandbar for ages so we’re delighted that we’ve finally managed to make it happen as part of their UK tour supporting their new album ‘The Last’. Improv, electronics and samples combine to create “long, glittering key chords invaded by clattering drum’n'bass patterns and hooted at by distant sax fragments” (John Fordham, The Guardian).
